XTube is another adult video sharing site similar to yuvutu and Pornotube that is attempting to wed the new business of video sharing on the web with the old business of adult video. The results in this case are a disaster. XTube looks and feels like a traditional scummy adult site. The layout is horrible, and the advertisements are obtrusive and obnoxious (even for this genre). The site is slow to load and often it does not load at all.
Of course, the underlying business model of the site is to sell professional adult video, and adult “dating” services. Based on Xtube’s recent popularity, I am betting that the business model is working well.
In summary, XTube is far from a clone of the wildly popular YouTube. It is simply just another adult site. If this genre of video is your cup of tea, you are much better off checking out yuvutu and/or pornotube.

I’ve been on Xtube for a few weeks now and I have nothing to complain about. It’s much better than pornotube, which I stopped going to. I don’t know about the other site you mentioned.
Xtube is great, actually. I really like it. It works fine except for minor bugs that don’t really matter (it’s in beta afterall). For example, how many times this video has been viewed is not accurate. That sort of thing, but there’s nothing that makes the experience bad.
The great thing about xtube is that there’s a good community there and they adopted the major features of YouTube, which are related videos, tags and the ability to comment. The comments and the community is what makes XTube vastly different from any other site and of course the fact that people can upload their own videos creates a community out of a porn site, which is a huge innovation over existing porn sites. I’m very surprised that you think there’s no difference between Xtube and previous-generation porn sites.
My prediction is that within two years, XTube will be a top 100 site (among all websites). Hey, it’s FREE porn. Well let’s see top reasons:
1: Free porn
2: Community/commenting
3: Meet people (part of the community thing)
4: Embeddable on Xanga, Livejournal, MySpace
5: It just works!
