Warner Bros. became the latest major studio to begin offering TV shows on Apple’s iTunes download service. Warner Bros. is offering a total of 113 episodes including “Friends, “Babylon 5″, “The Jetsons”, “The Flintstones”, “Madtv”, and an unaired showed called “Aquaman”. Each episode costs $1.99.

Warner Bros., like other studios, is looking for profitable uses for it’s vast television archives using a wide variety of channels. The costs for studios in putting their libraries on line is negligible, and there is potential substantial upside for their most profitable shows.

Apple’s iTunes store now offers a total of more than 150 TV shows available for purchase from the Fox, ABC, NBC, CBS and MTV networks.
