Tech Crunch recently attended the entrepreneurial forums at Digital Hollywood and wrote about several video on the net oriented startups. The most interesting of these companies for Xeep readers is probably TurnHere.
Turn Hear is a travel or “local experience” film site. Through their relationships with about 2000 independent film makers around the world, they produce and distribute distribute on the Internet 90 second to 2 minute long clips highlighting interesting places to visit. They have put together guidelines for how the films should look and feel, trained their filmmakers and turned them loose on the world.
The business model will focus on offering local advertising and advert films in the regions that their filmmakers profile.
I took a look at a couple of the films at Turn Here. I like the style and the production quality is actually quite high. If you are a traveler or food lover, go take a look.
