Many people keep their calendars in Outlook or a similar tool, and a fair number of those people have access to their calendars online through these traditional desktop calendaring and email tools.   There are a number of people who do not have a calendaring solution that enables them to access and share their calendars on the Internet.  In steps 30boxes.  They have a great calendaring offering on the web.   It has a terrific interface and a simple user friendly way to enter your events in plain English.

Keeping your calendar online is just the beginning, type in your Flickr account name, and your pictures are available in your calendar, added on the dates that the pictures were taken.   I love this feature.  You can also add weather, MySpace, LiveJournal, and Web Shots information.

By authorizing “Buddies” to see your calendar you can share your calendar with whomever you like!

Recently 30 boxes has released a new Webtop service - a desktop tool that gives you instant access to your 30 Boxes Calendar, Gmail, Flickr and other web sites and services that you choose to integrate. Users can also set the background image to their own picture.

I use Microsoft Outlook at work with Outlook Web Access and keep all my personal and work appointments there, so it would be hard for me to justify keeping two calendars, although the 30boxes integration with the likes of Flickr would make calendaring more fun!   There are a lot of people who do not already have an online calendaring solution.  This would also be a great solution for groups that need to keep a joint calendar.  Everyone from Little League coaches to social groups could take great advantage of this solution.
