TeevBlogger has uncovered a deal at Amazon Unbox.  New users to the site can download a DVD quality TV show episode for free.  There are a couple catches.  Users need to download the Unbox Video Player and sign up for an account.

The downloads play on Windows computers, portable devices, and on TVs.  Unfortunately, the downloads at Amazon Unbox are only available to users in the United States.

For those who are able, this is a good chance to give the service a try and save $1.99 in the process.
